The award ceremony for the Israeli 2017 competition took place on 28 November 2017 at the Tel Aviv University. The festive event was composed of two parts. The first part included a panel of four senior scholars who delivered lectures specifically designed for the winners and their families. The theme was "connected histories": the scholars discussed different points of connections between European history and Asian history. The second part of the event was the award ceremony itself, in which delegates of the organisations who contributed the awards handed the awards over to the winning students.

Other partners of the project are also the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO), Dinur Center for Research in Jewish History, Dahan Center for Culture, Society and Education in the Sephardic Heritage and University of Haifa’s School of History.
