The award ceremony of the Swiss History Competition 2015-2017 took place on 20 May 2017 in the National Museum Zurich. The "HISTORIA" history competition is held every two years on a new topic. This year's topic was "Being different". Almost half of the ninety people who attended the event were contestants, the other half were friends, parents, grandparents or interested teachers. After the welcoming speech by HISTORIA President Christiane Derrer and the representative of the museum, Mrs. Prisca Senn, the participants presented their works to each other in small groups.

Highlight of the award ceremony was, of course, the actual prize-giving ceremony. Out of a total of 47 entries, ten submissions were judged by the jury to be worthy of an award. In addition to the cash prizes, the winners were also given the opportunity to apply for the "Eustory Next Generation Youth Summit 2017", which will take place in Berlin in October with 100 participants from about 20 European countries. The whole event was enriched by two young musicians whose virtuoso violin and cello playing made the afternoon even more brilliant.
